We had the most awesome stay in Chalet Gol - or as we called it; The James Bond Cabin. The chalet is taken directly from a movie set with antlers and hides all over the place. We were even so lucky to have it topped with the best hosts in the world; Jesse & Eline (Wens, you hold on to these ones!).
The luxury of Wens' full catering and the extraordinary scenery of this chalet was just incredible! I think i speak for the entire group, if I say we won't ever return to normal cramped 4+2 ski apartments...
Wens Chalet in Champoluc is an amazing place to be staying, When om skiholiday. The location om the mountain is great. It is vers remote and you will not be disturbed by any form og noice or other things, that you might expirience somewhere else.
Klein chalet, wat verouderd maar prima locatie. En vooral dankzij de inspanningen van onze topkok Michiel was een een super aangename trip! Heerlijk gegeten en verzorgd door iemand die de kunst van het verzorgen heel goed verstaat. Top!
Wij werden geweldig ontvangen door Katie en Etienne met zelfgemaakte appeltaart t.g.v. Onze gouden bruiloft. Wij waren met kinderen en kleinkinderen en niets was hen te veel om het ons naar de zin te maken. Katie en Etienne organiseerden een gezellige apres-ski voor iedereen in het chalet, en de kinderen mochten zelf pizza’s bakken. Ook het diner was iedere avond weer een feest.Er werd nog een extra kok Paul ingevlogen, ook Paul deed het fantastisch.
We had a great stay at Chalet Gol in Champoluc. We were welcomed by two lovely hosts that took good care of us on the entire stay. Every meal was excellent and was big enough for all of us. They were on point and on time, both morning and in the evening.
The Chalet had an beautiful authentic architecture with 4 "master rooms", 1 regular and 1 four persons children's room. Only drawback is the transport of luggage to the Chalet (and back), that had to be done when the slopes were close, but that is the price of the location of this beautiful remote Chalet.
All in all one of my best skiing vacations.
